The Alchemy of Versatility: The « MODO » Side Table and Tabouret
The Evolution of Multifunctional Artisan Design
In the modern urban home, space is the ultimate luxury. As floor plans become more fluid and open, the demand for « intelligent furniture »—pieces that can adapt to the rhythm of our lives—has never been higher. Enter the MODO model, a signature creation from our Marrakech atelier that serves as a masterclass in multifunctional design. It is at once a sophisticated side table and a sturdy, hand-carved tabouret (stool).
Beyond the Single-Purpose Object
Traditionally, Moroccan furniture was designed for social flexibility. Low tables were moved to accommodate guests, and seating was rearranged for tea ceremonies. The Modo model honors this heritage but refines it for the 2026 aesthetic. Crafted from solid Moroccan walnut or cedar, its proportions are carefully engineered: high enough to rest a coffee cup next to a contemporary sofa, yet structurally reinforced to serve as a comfortable, artistic seat.

The Art of « The Pivot »
- As a Side Table: The flat, hand-planed surface showcases the raw beauty of the grain, providing a tactile resting place for books, a minimalist lamp or just your morning cup of coffee.
- As a Tabouret: When the gathering grows, the Modo pivots into a sculptural stool. Its hand-carved base provides the structural integrity needed for daily use, making it a « workhorse » of the living room disguised as a work of art.
Investing in a MODO piece means embracing a « less but better » philosophy. Instead of two separate, mass-produced items, you own one artisan-crafted object that solves two problems while telling a story of traditional joinery and modern utility.
